The purpose of the Master of Science in Sports Management program is to equip students with the necessary sports management competencies with option to concentrate on Taekwondo, Golf, or Sports Leadership.
M.S.S.M. Program Objectives
The objectives of the program are:
- To provide students with the advanced knowledge and competencies in sports management.
- To equip the students with effective teaching methodologies in Taekwondo, Golf, or Sports Leadership.
- To instill social responsibility in maintaining sports development in the community.
- To provide career opportunities for students in sports management.
M.S.S.M. Course Requirements (4 to 5 courses, 16 to 20 units)
Students who completed their bachelor’s degrees in a non-related field or students with insufficient background in sports management are required to complete the following prerequisite courses.

Graduation Requirements
The M.S.S.M. degree is conferred upon satisfactory completion of fifty-six (56) to fifty-seven (57) quarter units. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required.
Up to 20 quarter units (5 courses) of coursework can be accepted for transfer credits from another institution. At least 28 quarter units (7 courses) of major courses must be completed in residency at the California University of Management and Sciences. Deviations and substitutions for the requirements must be approved by the Academic Dean.
