Associate's of Science in BodyWorks (A.S.B.W.)

The goal of the Associate of Science in Bodyworks program is to provide quality educational curriculum with hands-on training to assist students to become competent bodyworks practitioners and therapists. To accomplish this goal, the objectives of the program are as follows:

    1. To provide students with the knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of bodyworks.
    2. To equip the students with a variety of bodyworks techniques and modalities safely, ethically, and effectively.
    3. To enable the students to provide exercise and nutritional advisements to clientele for the maintenance of health.
    4. To prepare the students to develop and manage a bodyworks business.
    5. To provide opportunities for the students to collaborate with other healthcare providers.

Graduation Requirements

The A.S.Bodyworks is conferred upon completion of a minimum of ninety five (95) quarter units. The 95 quarter units shall be composed of 24 quarter units of general education courses, 63 quarter units of major courses, and 8 quarter units of elective courses. A minimum grade point average of 2.0 is required. The requirements can be summarized as follows:

Up to 40 quarter units (10 courses) of coursework can be accepted for transfer credits from another institution. At least 16 quarter units (4 courses) of Major Courses must be completed in residency at the California University of Management and Sciences. Deviations and substitutions for the requirements must be approved by the Academic Dean.
