Requirements
An applicant to the Bachelor's Degree program in
California University of Management and Sciences must have completed
at least a high school education
Procedures
Students
applying for Undergraduate Program (Associate & Bachelor's
Degree) must submit following admission procedures:
1. Complete the
application form (available in the Office of Admissions) and
submit it together with the $100 (non-refundable) application
fee to the Office of Admissions.
2. Submit a copy of
high school diploma and its corresponding official high school
transcript evidencing completion of at least a high school education,
or official transcript from former college/ university attended
to the Office of Admissions. The official school transcript
must be sent directly by the issuing institution to the Office
of Admissions.
3. Admission to the California University
of Management and Sciences is based on combination of strength
of educational curriculum attempted, and cumulative grade point
average.
4. Prospective students' applications will
be reviewed and decided for admission on an individual basis
by the Admissions Director, and may be asked to provide additional
evidence of academic proficiency.
Admissions from HIgh School
The
University will evaluate the student's high school GPA(Grade
Point Average), Academic Records, and other documents as may
be deemed necessary to determine admission eligibility. Students
may also submit additional documents for consideration such
as:
- SAT Score (Scholastic
Aptitude Test Score) - ACT Score (American College Testing)
Title V Class Requirements
California
Law requires all Bachelor degree students to demonstrate competence
in understanding;
- American history,
institutions and ideals. - The Constitution of the United
States - The Principles of state and local government as
established in California.
All Admitted students must meet above requirements
by completing applicable courses before finishing the Bachelor
Degree Program.
Admissions with Advanced Standing
An Applicant with AP(Advanced Placement) courses
may receive up to forty four(44) credits for equivalent courses
at CalUMS. The AP score must be above 3(of 5) to gain the CalUMS
credit.
Once a student is admitted to a program, he
or she will be assigned to an Academic Advisor, who will advise
the student with academic planning. Orientation for new students
will be held during the first week of each quarter. All students
will receive information regarding student services, student
expectations, student rights and responsibilities, student conduct
policies, library services, and learning resource services.
International
Student 
International
students will need to satisfy several additional requirements
prior to being admitted to the University.
Transfer
Student
An applicant who wishes to transfer from
another institute of higher education must undertake the same
procedures as earlier mentioned. Upon admission, the credit
earned elsewhere will be evaluated and appropriate credit will
be granted for previous academic work.
